Berlin: Gaza Under Attack: Challenging the media bias

The recent Israeli aggression on Gaza brings back to the surface the question of media bias.

While the number of Palestinian victims are rising everyday, the mainstream media choses to repeat the Israeli propaganda lines one by one, from “Israel has the right for self defense” to “Hamas uses Palestinians as a human shield”.

 

At our Arabhub Berlin event, we will break down these problematic concepts through an

interview by Journalist Sophia Deeg with Dr. Haidar Eid, lecturer in cultural studies, from Gaza.

Then we will move to hear reports from across Palestine, on daily events that are underreported:

• Wala Al Ghussein, student from Gaza – North of Gaza City
• Ashira Husari, activist from Jerusalem
• Hanaa’ Mahameed, reporter for Almayadeen news channel, from Tirah.
