NAKBA DAY 78 - Stop the occupation Free Palestine
16. Mai 2026

The term Nakba is used to commemorate the approximately 750,000 Palestinians who
were expelled from their homeland beginning with the first Arab-Israeli War of 1948. The
war began on May 15, 1948, the day after Israel declared its independence.
Even 78 years later, the Nakba shows no signs of ending. Despite a supposed ceasefire,
Israel is bombing the Gaza Strip, killing civilians, blocking urgently needed aid, and pushing
ahead with illegal settlement construction in the West Bank.
At the same time, Israel is trying to reduce Iran to rubble and ashes, and by driving over
1,000,000 people out of Lebanon, it is bringing to mind the events of 1948.
According to official figures, over 70,000 people have been killed in Gaza since October
2023, the vast majority of them civilians. In light of these crimes, we must not forget that
Germany is Israel’s second-largest arms supplier and also provides massive support to
Israel in other ways.
It is our duty to protest against this support!
