Movie Screenin of „Fadia's Tree“ -. 16.05., 18:00 @ Rigaerstr. 94 *
One day after Nakba-Day, we want to come together to watch the movie „Fadia's Tree“ (maybe we manage to do the sceening outside in the garden), rest from last days' actions and prepare for the demonstration on the 18.05. at 14:00 in Oranienplatz. After the movie, there will be an open discussion with an input from a Palestinian guest about the Nakba. As always there will be Küfa (food for donation) at 20:00, the movie starts around 19:00!
„Fadia's Tree“ follows Fadia, a Palestinian refugee in Lebanon, who yearns for the ancestral homeland she is denied. She challenges the Director of the movie to find an ancient mulberry tree that stands as witness to her family's existence.
