Accountability, Ethics, and Solidarity in Cinema and Culture
21. Februar 2026

Within the context of dark and challenging historical moment that we are living in, how can we reflect on what accountability can look like for the film community? And how is that applied more broadly to other areas of culture? By confronting censorship, exposing institutional complicity, and reflecting on the responsibilities that come with cultural power this panel will engage you in what is sure to be important discussion for any film festival.
Moving beyond representation, the session will focus on ethics, solidarity and collective action highlighting artist-led initiatives and the role of solidarity campaigns in mobilizing cultural institutions to challenge dominant narratives and support more responsible storytelling about Palestine.
This discussion will take place between Doris (a human rights activist), Samir Eskanda (an artist, organizer, and human rights activist joining online), Amin El Gamal (an actor and producer, also joining online), with Venice4Palestine collective (joining online).
